yes, Rachel's story is heart touching, and it is down right sad, but i have another sad story to tell you. It is Eric Harris and Dylan Klebolds story.
Rachel said that there is good in everyone, so there is good in these two. Everyone needs to take a moment and send love and compassion to Eric and Dylan, two people who needed it the most. Isolated and hated by everyone eric and dylan wanted revenge. Everyday, feeling worthless, lost, hated, unloved, betrayed, scum. They were the lowest of the low on the social food chain.
Eric, a smart boy, who never let anyone get in the way of his grades, suffered from sever depression. He was perscribed anti depressants, which only made him worse. It made him suicidal, and gave him homicidal thoughts. Thus, the beginning. A bad mixture of depression, and torture. Sent eric in a dark downward spiral. He would wake up in the morning, wishing he was dead, eric wanted to die. Everyday was pain, pain he didnt want. He suffered more then u understand.
Dylan, passonate believer in what he loved. Dylan also suffered from depression, and occasionally suicidal temptation. Most of his actions were based on pure bitter hatrid for those who bestowed it on him. These two boys, people who just wanted to be accepted..were treated like shit. Their journals were dark depressing upseting. Talking about hate, suicide, love, and views. They wrote it down. It was there. Their issues are in no way an excuss for their actions, but its the reason why. Today i regret living in the time i do, i wish i could live in 1999, being a senior, and i would help eric and dylan, reach out to them and show them love.
As much as rachels and the other 12 students stories upset me, eric and dylans do too. think, think about a time where you full ot made fun of someone. And think, what if i make them wanna die. You would make someone want to end their life. How do you feel? So say sorry to someone, bc you never know if someone regrets not ending it. 1 voice can take a life, but 1 voice can save their life!!
