Free verse poem "True"

You make my heart skip.
When I am with you I forget to breath.
Baby, you take my world on a trip.
I think you're a theif.
You know, as corney as it sounds...
You had me at "I heart you".
I know your words are True.
Seventeen months have gone by,
And I never get tired of saying,
"I think I'm falling for you".
I feel it in my bones.
This love is meant to be.
Every kiss..
Every moment...
Every diss..
And I know, yeah I know, that this is real.
Looking back on those memories...
I could never be any happier.
Every day...
Every word...
Every way..
I still think I'm falling for you...Again.
Baby, i love you...<3

Homework: poetry slam review.

I thought the poetry slam was great. Although not many people acted out to it, it was still fun. For future poetry slams i think that the guide lines on what/who the poems can be about. I thought it was extreamly rude on Griff and Zach to write their poems on Amelia. They we extreamly hurtful. I enjoyed the poetry slam and hope to do it again, it gave me the personal experience to see what people could come up with. Also, Alex Clegg comming up with the idea of snapping instead of clapping was clever. Again, i enjoyed the poetry slam.

Internet poem: Hopes Fade

Hopes Fade

“Things need to change”
“we Controlled the press..”
The “Battle intensifies as Taliban retake Pakistani town”
“Hopes fade”
“Student’s innocence project doesn’t make the grade”
“Hopes fade”
“Is the H1N1 swine flu vaccine safe?
“Hopes fade”
“Collage tuition raises”
“Hopes fade”
“Another teen dies in Palo Alto train suicide”
“Hopes fade”
“lets set New Years high”
“Possible war break out”
Will “hopes continue to fade”
Our world is drastically and slowly falling apart,
How long will it take all of us to realize,
That if we don’t change now, we are
Doomed…
“Hopes fade….”

Name poem.

Blue hair that has faded.
Really short.
Intune with nature.
Thinks way too deeply.
Takes things too seriously.
Always tries to be polite, but,
Not always the nicest person.
Yet she can always make you smile. :)

Place name poem.

Topsfeild is where it's located.
Obviously far away.
People come from all over Mass.
Sometimes from different states.
Friends come to play some games.
Every year this festival is held.
In October.
Loved by many, hated by few.
Days long event.

Families bring their children.
Always crowded.
Insightful on many things.
Really fun, and creates memories.

Poem Homework 10.8

Oh Mistress Mine
--from Twelfth Night
Oh mistress mine! where are you roaming?Oh! stay and hear; your true love's coming,That can sing both high and low.Trip no further, pretty sweeting;Journeys end in lovers meeting,Every wise man's son doth know. What is love? 'tis not hereafter;Present mirth hath present laughter; What's to come is still unsure:In delay there lies no plenty; Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty,Youth's a stuff will not endure.

Analyze:
oh love where are you goin? stay here with me your true love
that can be good, and bad. do not worry beautiful, journeys may
end but we will not. we will always laugh, and even if we are unsure
everything will work out. i will never lie to you, just kiss me
and you'll know. we are young.

Petrarchan Sonnet: Misleading Figure

Misleading Figure

Over time the world changed drastically.
Now this flag stands for nothing in my eyes.
Nobody cares whether you live or die.
Everyone hates, and speaks sarcastically.
What once was free is nothing but a lie.
A world silenced, lets out a large sigh.
Is this world going to end tragically?
What happened to this world i thought i knew?
Mislead and lied to by who we trusted,
Is it fair that we now have to ask who?
The warm love we knew is now all crusted.
I do not understand why there are few,
This flag means nothing and is all busted..
