Sedition...
Every citizen in entitled to their own opinion. they are allowed to speak their mind. But during a time of war that seemed almost ludicrous. it was highly looked down upon because the country wanted to enforce Loyalty. Even though you may think that you are loyal to your country, but just have a different opinion, your country sees that as unloyal. the country was highly afraid of immigrants and scared to know just how unloyal they were. with all these people no wonder they tried protecting their reputation. but in a sense that is wrong, but the country intruding on our civil rights, its defying all that we set out to be in the beginning...free. even in a costly time we should still be allowed to speak our mind, practice our religion and be who we are. but in the defense of the country we should also enforce loyalty and prove to the U.S that we are on their side and understand the time of need.

U.S Honors History Homework:September 14th, 2010
Blame Spain for Slain!!
On the eve of February 15th, 1898 the naval battle ship the U.S.S Maine was blown to smithereens! the ship was sent to Havana on a mission of protection, but in the end was left sinking to the bottom of the ocean. who's to blame? was it our fault? or Spain's? who?! Due to a hidden mine the ship and more then 2/3 of the crew were killed and left for Davey Jones locker! it is to be believed that Spain placed the mine there in order to retaliate for the U.S fighting for Cuba's independence. It feared that this event in History will cause the Spanish American war!
thousands will be killed on top of the hundreds that were killed. The Spanish ambassador arranged this event from the beginning and we should hold him physically responsible for the deaths of our beloved Americans. one way to solve this controversy is we must go to war! fight them for what they did to us! it time!
Soldiers dead on the shore!
Spain is to Blame!!!

Creative Writing: What makes a speech good.
speeches are opinions, therefor there is no real answer. to make your speech good you need to have strong point to be able to rebuttle the other side. you also have to approach the the spech as intresting, no one likes to hear a boring speech. make your thoughts count, and the more intresting you make it, the more you will grab people's attetion. you also need hardcore facts to back up your opinion. you cannot make a speech that sounds like you know what you're talking about.
